ABSTRACT

In this paper, a hammer was designed and constructed for excitation of the bridges. Using the constructed hammer several bridges were excited and their dynamic responses were measured. The measured  natural frequencies of the bridges were then compared with the calculated ones by finite element method. Good agreement was observed between the measured and the predicted results,
